Resveratrol Recipes: A great way to get Resveratrol

I've noticed that quite a few people search for "resveratrol recipes", which I believe to be quite odd. That's likely because most people just don't understand what resveratrol is and thus think you must be able to make it (i.e. resveratrol recipes)

Well it happens to be very similar to Vitamin C, beta carotene and magnesium. Ever hear of someone searching for Magnesium Recipes? That's right, resveratrol is a nutrient. It's classified as an antioxidant and a phytonutrient (found in plants). You can't make it any more than you can make a tall, cool glass of Vitamin A. However, you can put together a meal that's high in resveratrol, and even one that is chock full of antioxidants.

A List of Tasty Resveratrol Recipes

A Meal of Resveratrol Recipes

BREAKFAST:

Now if you're talking about breakfast, start with a nice tall glass of cranberry or purple grape juice and chocolate chip pancakes topped with blueberries. (Cranberries are also a great source of resveratrol.) That will get your day started right.

DINNER:

To get all the benefits of resveratrol without having to take a supplement, start with a Japanese knotweed salad (Japanese knotweed is a lot like rhubarb), and a glass of itadori tea (a source of resveratrol as well).

Then follow that up with a peanut encrusted halibut, green beans and wild rice (peanuts are a great source as well), accompanied by a glass of red wine.

DESSERT:

Finally top the night off with a bowl of French Vanilla ice cream topped with blueberries and a piece of dark chocolate (both great sources). Then voila' - you'll have had more healthy antioxidants than most people do in a week.

Now if you really don't have time, then start taking a resveratrol supplement every morning (and eat whatever you want during the day!) Read about specific supplements here
